Quote: Phasing out CIPE’s name but preserving its mission
Over 12 years ago, the Center for International and Professional Experience (CIPE) was created to integrate and develop the four offices that foster student engagement with the world beyond Yale -- Fellowships, Career Strategy, Study Abroad, and Summer Session. By coming together under CIPE's banner and Jane Edwards's leadership until her retirement last semester, those programs have expanded their reach, and they have become more visible and accessible to students. Students are now not only better served; they are also better informed, and as a result they often approach CIPE's different offices directly, instead of seeing CIPE as their starting point, as they have in previous years.
I have therefore begun to phase out the name Center for International and Professional Experience and the acronym CIPE.
